WASHINGTON – Southeast D.C. police are looking into a fatal gunshot that happened during the day.

On Tuesday, May 7, shortly after 2:00 p.m., officers were called to the 3400 block of 25th Street, Southeast. Police discovered a man inside a house with what appeared to be gunshot wounds when they arrived.

The person was declared dead at the scene by D.C. Fire and EMS after they arrived. Tremaine Nicholson, 42, has been identified as the person in question.
