19-Year-Old Arrested For Gun Possession While On Probation, Miami-Dade Police Report
MIAMI – The Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Saturday housed a 19-year-old male who was allegedly in possession of a firearm while under probation in Miami-Dade County.
As to the Florida Department of Corrections, Julius E. Viera’s probationary felony supervision was supposed to expire on March 31, 2026, however, it only began on April 1.
Prosecutors brought five cases against him last year, according to court documents. Viera was found guilty of breaking into an unoccupied house, causing property damage by criminal mischief, and operating a vehicle that caused injuries in an accident.

Three warrants for his arrest had been issued by the court, according to Miami-Dade jail records. Two were related to probation infractions, while the other included a magistrate’s hold.

He was charged with possessing a firearm by a minor and possessing a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon by Miami-Dade correctional officers on Friday when they booked him into TGKCC. He was placed under normal hold.
The new case is being presided over by Circuit Judge Michelle Ashby Delancy of Miami-Dade County. Viera’s arraignment hearing was scheduled on May 21 at 9 a.m.
