ArkLaTex Alert: Louisiana and Arkansas Among Top Ten Most Hazardous States for Families!

Two of the three states that make up the ArkLaTex region made it into the top ten on the list of the states that are the most hazardous for families to raise.

Both Louisiana and Arkansas are ranked among the most hazardous states in the United States, according to a new study that was carried out by Omega Law Group and utilized data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). According to the findings of the study, the rate of violent crime in Louisiana is 67% higher than the average reported across the US. Data from homicides, rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, arson, burglary, larceny-theft, and thefts of motor vehicles were included in the metrics that were used for examination in this study.

Both property offenses and violent crimes were counted for every 100,000 people in the population.

The state of New Mexico had the greatest rate of violent crime of any state in the United States, and it also had the second-highest rate of homicide. A significant portion of the reason that Washington state is ranked as the second most hazardous state in the country is because it has the highest property crime rates in the whole country.

The state of Louisiana came in at number four on the list, with a rate of violent crime that is 67% higher than the average for the entire country. Arkansas was ranked sixth on the list of states that are the least safe for families to raise their children in, and it had the third highest rate of violent crimes.
