BJ’s Wholesale Set to Expand With New Store Openings

Debarylife – On Wednesday, BJ’s Wholesale Club announced that it will be expanding its nationwide footprint this year.

The Massachusetts-based company stated that the opening of each of the five planned facilities will contribute to the creation of 150 new jobs for residents. BJ’s faces competition from Costco Wholesale and Sam’s Club, despite having a smaller warehouse footprint.

Two of the new locations—Palm Coast and West Palm Beach—will be in Florida. The locations of the others are Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Carmel, Indiana; and Maryville, Tennessee.

Twelve new clubs will be opened as part of BJ’s fiscal 2024 expansion strategy. Additionally, it said it would open fifteen gas stations.

Ahead of the company’s quarterly results call in early March, Werner stated that over the previous two years, BJ’s shops “are outperforming on the sell side, and we lay great member acquisition, member engagement”.

The corporation has 175 gas stations and 244 clubs spread throughout 20 states in its real estate portfolio.

“Itly time for clubs, right? You consider the current retail landscape, where finding the best deal is crucial. CEO Bob Eddy told analysts and investors, “The club industry offers the best value out there. “And so we need to be as aggressive as possible in bringing what we offer to new markets and extending our reach in existing markets as well.”
