LAPD Captain Takes Action, Homeless Person Arrested for Alleged Attack on Elderly Woman in Koreatown
Los Angeles – Residents of Koreatown are hailing a Los Angeles city police officer as a hero for seeing and apprehending a homeless man who was allegedly sucker-striking an elderly woman.
Captain Aaron Ponce of the LAPD intervened after observing the attack in broad daylight.
“I saw an individual just, for all intents and purposes, just full swing a haymaker and hit one of our citizens in the back of the head,” Ponce said.

Ponce then trailed the purported assailant to a busy eatery in the vicinity. Ponce and the LAPD took the homeless suspect into custody after they saw him leave the building.
