Officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a fatal collision in the westbound lanes of Ann Road, immediately west of Jones Boulevard, on April 9 at around 6:45 p.m. According to an arrest complaint, multiple witnesses stated police pulled over to assist Diana Ready, a lady, in getting her car off the road.
A second car driven by Hill approached and did not change lanes or slow down while they were trying to shove the car. According to the authorities, Ready and the back of Hill’s car were struck by the front of her car.

According to the complaint, Ready was flung into the air and into the road before Hill ran her over with his car.
After that, Hill executed a U-turn, crossing the center median and coming to a stop at the curb. According to the investigation, witnesses noticed Hill seated in the driver’s seat and detected “a strong odor of alcohol” emanating from him.

Police were informed by one witness that there was alcohol on the driver’s side door. According to the complaint, another witness took Hill’s key out of the car so he could not take off.
Hill was “uncooperative” when a Department of Corrections officer who wasn’t on duty arrived at the scene and took him into custody.
When emergency responders arrived, they tried to save Ready’s life, but she passed away from her wounds and was pronounced dead there.
Officers said that Hill needed assistance to keep from passing out due to bloodshot and watery eyes. The report said that Hill admitted to an officer that he smokes marijuana every day.
Hill failed the normal field sobriety test administered by the police.
Hill was taken into custody by police on charges of DUI that resulted in death, failing to obey traffic laws, and having an expired registration. With a $150,000 bail, he was being held at the Clark County Detention Center on Friday.
April 15 was his next scheduled court date.
