Fatal Crash on Biscayne Bay: Two Men Killed in Boat-Yacht Collision, Authorities Say
DEBARYLIFE – Florida Fish and Wildlife officials said that two men died in a Miami-Dade hospital following a collision between their tiny boat and a 51-foot yacht in Biscayne Bay.
According to Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue, the collision occurred on Sunday at 6:45 p.m. off the coast of Homestead.
Seven persons were on board an Azimut yacht when it collided with a 17-foot Key West center console boat carrying two males, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission police. The accident’s cause remains unknown.

According to Fish and Wildlife police spokeswoman Arielle Callender, the driver and passenger on the Key West yacht were both critically hurt and sent to the hospital, where they were both away.

The males were evacuated to Jackson South Medical Center, according to Fire Rescue spokeswoman Andrea Rudchenco.
