New Jersey Resident with DUIs Arrested in Golf Cart at Winn-Dixie
Debarylife – In a Winn-Dixie shop in The Villages, a Villager who has many convictions for drunk driving in New Jersey was taken into custody while riding in a golf cart.
According to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department, Janine Renee Rapka, 45, of the Village of Santo Domingo, is accused of keying a car during a fight with the owner of the vehicle on Easter Sunday at Winn-Dixie in La Plaza Grande at around three p.m.
A man crossed in front of Rapka’s golf cart when she was stalled at a stop sign at the store.

After screaming obscenities at the man, Rapka went over to his silver Ford and used a key to scrape the right front passenger door, resulting in damage estimated to be worth $1,000. When Rapka unlocked the door while the man’s mother was seated inside the Ford, she dialed 911.

As Rapka tried to drive away in her golf cart, a policeman pulled into the parking lot. Her golf cart was blocked from departing by the policeman using his squad car.

Rapka seemed to have had some alcohol. Officers discovered that she had been arrested for drunk driving in The Villages in 2023 and had a history of driving under the influence in her home state of New Jersey. Her driver’s license was permanently canceled following this occurrence.
