Texas Man Shoots Brother, Leads Red Oak Police in High-Speed Pursuit Resulting in Crash

DEBARYLIFE – Following the alleged shooting of his brother and the subsequent risky pursuit by the police, a Texas man is being charged with major offenses. The Red Oak Police Department has stated that the incident occurred on April 24 at 5:54 PM inside an apartment building at Red Oak Town Village.

The victim’s girlfriend also reported the incident shortly after Amari Nevaiah Wise, 21, allegedly placed the emergency call and admitted to the shooting.

After a chase that culminated in a collision within the apartment complex’s parking lot, where Wise was captured and handcuffed, police arrived on the scene and saw Wise attempting to escape in a black 2020 Ford Eco Sport.

As emergency personnel and law enforcement responded to the scenes, confusion was reported by the Red Oak Police Department.

The person was transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center via Careflite air ambulance due to life-threatening injuries. A cop who was involved in the car accident with Wise was also sent to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Aggravated Assault w/ Serious Bodily Injury (FV),” “Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant,” and “Evading arrest/detention with a vehicle” are among the numerous accusations that Glenn Heights resident Wise is facing, according to the news release.
